Tuesday 8pm eastern time, unfortunately it is going up against the stupid show, American Idol.

Premises of the show:

Sam Oliver (Bret Harrison) lives at home with his parents (Andrew Airlie and Allison Hossack) and brother in the Seattle area. He had always wondered why his mom and dad were so easy on him, whether it was sports, school, or career choices, and so hard on his younger brother. Sam dropped out of college (“It made him sleepy”, Sock explains) and took a dead-end job at the Work Bench, a home-repair superstore similar to Home Depot. He spent the rest of his time hanging out, playing video games, and pining for his co-worker, Andi (Missy Peregrym).

On Sam’s 21st birthday, his parents behaved very strangely, and Sam himself saw hellish visions and experienced odd events. His father eventually claims that many years ago, he was very sick, and in return for restoring his health, he and his wife promised their firstborn child to the Devil (Ray Wise). Although the couple intended to cheat the Devil by having no children, this plan went awry when Satan convinced their doctor to lie and tell the couple that they could not conceive in exchange for wiping his gambling debts clean. Sam was born shortly thereafter.

After informing him of his fate, the Devil explains to Sam that he must serve as his bounty hunter (or “Reaper”), tracking down souls that have escaped from Hell and sending them back using his new powers (which include telekinesis) and vessels, varied objects said to have been hand-made in the bowels of perdition by the iniquitous and the vile. Vessels appear inside a long wooden box sent for Sam to open (with the Italian inscription “Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch’entrate” (“Abandon hope, all ye who enter here”), as was written on the entrance to Hell in Dante’s Inferno), and are specially designed for each job. Examples throughout the series have included a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, a Taser gun, and a cigarette lighter.

Although Sam initially balks, Satan tells him that should he refuse, then Sam’s mother’s soul is forfeit. Unwilling to sacrifice his mother, and convinced that he is doing good in the world by tracking down evil souls, Sam accepts his fate. With the help of his slacker friends Sock (Tyler Labine) and Ben (Rick Gonzalez), he begins his new life tracking down the corrupted souls trying to escape their own eternal punishment.

Hell houses are haunted attractions typically run by American, fundamentalist Christian churches or parachurch groups.

so i just resumed on my reading of “The GOD Delusion” almost done. I came across the reading of “Hell House,” it is about Christians scaring the shit out of their kids, usually at the age of 12, and i think that is totally messed up in the head. Why the hell would you traumatize your kids like that?

As much as I can’t stand religion, I believe kids, whether in a family of atheists or christians or other religions, they should be taught how to think for themselves rather than taught what to think.

If you are religious (with kids), sure tell them about the religion, don’t enforce it on them, let them learn science. I am sure they will come to a conclusion on their own.

Don’t traumatize the kids by bringing them to hell house and scaring them shitless for Jesus.

This is such a bad way to “convert” them. This simply makes christians evil.

We have names for people who have many beliefs for which there is no rational justification. I always thought the same thing, just didn’t put into the correct wording, but good thing Sam Harris did that for me.
I find it true that people who experienced these “PERSONAL EXPERIENCE”…such as God showing them a sign, actually seeing angels, and/or God speaking directly to them in their heads.

See if they didn’t say it was God, any normal people would think that person is delusional/psychotic and needs medical assistance.
but when they say its God, its OH MY GOODNESS…..sighhh…people don’t think you got problems

I hate it when the same religious people who believes in the same God won’t back them up when they say Jesus/God told them to do something (to the norm its bad). What if he is telling the truth?

What I can’t stand is that people who believe in the same thing chooses if that person is qualify to be consider as one of them.

Religious group would exclude Peter, because he did something bad and is supposely giving a bad name to their God.
To me, thats pure bullshit…

I truly care for animals, and willing to devote my time and service to fund raise.
He told me at the moment he don’t me because its a small gathering process, but he said in the future
he can use me for big events. and also he said IF I DONATE $5 HE WILL ADVERTISE ME. I told him I actually don’t have the financial
money to do so. He told me, you cannot even donate $5? Just loose my number i rather get another DJ that can

BRADENTON, Fla. – Sheriff’s officers said a 19-year-old man snatched a Starbucks customer’s laptop after being told he could not use it to check his Facebook account. According to officers, the man then grabbed the customer’s laptop and ran out of the coffee shop, located in an outlet mall.

Two people in the parking lot tackled the man and held him there until a mall security guard arrived.

The victim got his laptop back and the man was charged Saturday with robbery by sudden snatching, a felony.

I think this is just ridiculous…is facebook that addictive that people will start stealing laptops to check their facebook accounts?

I mean im on it alot but i just leave it on my one of the front page on my browser. i hardly browse on it. I only do it once in a while. I just look at the feeds usually and thats it.

honestly im beginning to not like facebook that much. since it became such a big thing and almost everyone i know uses it, i kinda have no choice but to keep it. i mean i know some are hardcore facebookers, and some hardly use it (just to keep in touch)
