so i’ve been using the school’s computer lab and alot of the time i have to go websites login to check my e-mails which gets a bit annoying…well not anymore…i’ve installed portable apps on to my flash drive, btw it takes up very very little space, i use thunderbird to check my e-mails at home and on my laptop, now i can use it on the school lab PCs….It has a bunch of other applications/programs that I use also. You can use FireFox which most computers has already, but the good part is that the firefox you use, it remembers your information if you want and your bookmarks…it doesn’t leave traces behind on the public computers that you are using….all those programs are all open-source programs….so you won’t be able to have like IE or like microsoft word….
now i wanted to use AIM standalone program, but they don’t have that…however, i found aim lite which you need to install to the flash drive in order to run aim, the buddy list order would look the same….if you don’t care for it, you can just use Pidgin which offers aim, msn, gtalk, and others….heres the AIM LITE
if you want to use MSN standalone….heres this one aMSN portable
i suggest you not to change the skin, because the skin seems to cause some difficulty in viewing some stuff…
there are plenty of other stuff you can check out
Now heres the down side of it, which is really nothing
CONS: its runs a bit slow, since it’s running off the flash drive…but thats what portability is for
heres the website PORTABLE APPS
